RENÉ FURTERER FOR RALPH & RUSSO

Fall-Winter 2017/18 Haute Couture collection

A visit to the Grand Palais in Paris to discover the latest fairy-tale collection of the British duo with Australian origins, Ralph & Russo. To present their iridescent dresses, designers Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo chose a cinematographic lighting and a superb chandelier to further enhance the sophisticated overtones of the event. Next Winter’s designs for women are inspired by the natural beauties captured by fashion photographers Richard Avedon and Norman Parkinson. The season’s palette is bright with mint green, pearly lavender, crystal pink and satin blue.

As far as hair styling is concerned, it was the Irish stylist Helen Reavey who was selected to twist buns for these modern day princesses. “The designers immediately expressed their desire for a very styled look with hair worn high on the head. This restyled bun very quickly became the obvious choice. It is worn in a dome style in the front with a subtle and asian-inspired slicked-back look in the back. ”
