FIGHTING GRADUAL HAIR LOSS, ALOPECIA, MALE PATTERN BALDNESS

"Like all men in my family, I started losing my hair at 30. Is baldness inevitable?"

WHAT ARE THE SIGNS OF GRADUAL HAIR LOSS, ALOPECIA, MALE PATTERN BALDNESS?

You lose over 100 hairs a day:
You have alopecia, the scientific name for hair loss.
The average person loses between 40 and 80 hairs per day.

You have been losing hair for over 6 months:
You have gradual hair loss. Your hair is gradually thinning and some areas are going bald. This is an early sign of baldness.

You are experiencing one of the following signs:
Thinning hair or baldness on:

1. The top of the head
2. The temples
3. The crown

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Hair loss in men can progress gradually or in stages. The earlier the hair loss begins, the worse the prognosis. It often starts at around 17-18 years, with a background of family pattern baldness.
If treatment is started early, hair loss or at least its progression can be limited.
However, most men let it go untreated and the hair loss continues until they are completely bald.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE

Gradual hair loss in men is associated with hereditary factors and can start early, from the age of 17.

It affects:
30% of men in their thirties
40% of men in their forties
50% of men in their fifties

THE CAUSES OF GRADUAL HAIR LOSS IN MEN

A DISRUPTION IN THE HAIR’S LIFE CYCLE

The life of a strand of hair follows a 3-STAGE hair growth cycle:

- The ANAGEN or GROWTH phase (2 to 6 years): a key step in the life of the hair during which the hair shaft is produced.
- The CATAGEN or TRANSITIONAL phase (2 to 3 weeks): this is a short transitional phase of regression in which the hair is no longer growing.
- The TELOGEN or REST phase: hair shedding phase.

Gradual hair loss in men is related to a significant shortening of the anagen or growth phase of the hair. As such, hair transitions faster from the growth phase to the regression phase, giving rise to an acceleration of the hair growth cycle.
As a result, the programmed succession of 20 to 30 hair growth cycles, which should last a lifetime, is completed earlier than expected, resulting in premature exhaustion of the total hair cycles. This results in thinning of the hair, or even the total disappearance of hair on large areas of the scalp.

THE RENÉ FURTERER SOLUTION TO SLOW GRADUAL HAIR LOSS IN MEN

To slow gradual hair loss in men, it is necessary to extend the anagen phase, during which the hair grows. It is the longest part of the cycle and the most important time to act as 85% of the hair is in the anagen phase.

During this phase, René Furterer laboratories have identified 3 key stages for the hair:

1. GENESIS
2. GROWTH
3. MATURITY

René Furterer is taking action on these 3 key stages with:

TRIPHASIC PROGRESSIVE
PROGRESSIVE ANTI-HAIR LOSS TREATMENT
Effective growth-activating concentrate

TRIPHASIC PROGRESSIVE Progressive anti-hair loss treatment composed of several natural key ingredients with triple anti-hair loss action.
A complete treatment that slows down hair loss, preserves existing hair and visibly redensifies.

Biotrinine, a new natural key ingredient obtained from watercress leaf and nasturtium leaf extract, combined with specific patented* key ingredients, acts at 3 key stages in the hair’s vital anagen phase:

1. GENESIS STAGE, TRIGGERS HAIR GROWTH:
Biotrinine activates the signal required to trigger hair growth*.

2. GROWTH STAGE, STIMULATES AND STRENGTHENS THE HAIR:

Biotrinine acts in synergy with ATP (patent pending), to maintain the growth phase and prolong the life of the hair**. Growth is optimized thanks to natural Pfaffia extract, combined with Orange and Lavender essential oils.

3.MATURITY STAGE, DELAYS HAIR LOSS:
Biotrinine, working in harmony with Curbicia extract, prolongs the hair growth cycle**. Licorice extract and HMC*** promote an environment conducive to the maintenance of healthy hair.

The result? The hair growth cycle is prolonged, hair loss is slowed. Strong and resistant hair growth is stimulated and prolonged.

YOUR QUESTIONS ABOUT GRADUAL HAIR LOSS

To help with your day-to-day problems, we put our scientific expertise at your disposal.

PREVENTION

Are there preventive treatments for hair loss?

Gradual hair loss can be caused by various factors, and sometimes prevention alone is not enough to stop the shedding, especially if there is a genetic cause. However it can, in some cases, slow down the process.
TRIPHASIC Progressive anti-hair loss treatment can be used as a preventive measure before hair loss occurs.

What can I do at home to prevent hair loss?

Here are some simple tips to help prevent hair loss and which are generally recommended for a healthy head of hair:

1. Avoid harsh shampoos and hair care products.

2. Give yourself scalp massages to stimulate the microcirculation. This can prevent one of the causes of gradual hair loss, namely poor blood flow to the hair bulb.

3. Avoid tightly-pulled hairstyles that can be traumatic for the scalp and put the hair under too much strain.

4. Lead a healthy lifestyle and drink plenty of water.

5. Try to avoid stress, which has a direct effect on hair loss.

GENETICS

My dad is bald, will I go bald too? If my hair started falling out early, is there a greater chance I will one day be completely bald?

Genetics plays a major role when it comes to hair loss. However, it is not necessarily a foregone conclusion. If a father is bald, his son will not necessarily go bald too, even though it is highly likely. We recommend applying a preventive treatment once a year.

DAILY TIPS

I want to find a way to hide the effects of my hair loss. What can I do?

For some men, hair loss symbolizes a lack of virility. Many men let their hair grow out in order to cover up the thinner areas, but this is not always a good idea. Cutting your hair very short is a good solution, because it minimizes the difference between the areas with and without hair, leaving the thinning areas less obvious.

CONCERNS/PRECONCEIVED NOTIONS

Someone told me that massaging the scalp is good for preventing hair loss, is that true?

Yes, that is absolutely correct. Massaging the scalp activates the local microcirculation and helps supply the nutrients needed for strong hair growth.

Try COMPLEXE 5 Regenerating plant extract and give yourself a massage. It promotes well-being and relaxation and is a wonderful tonic and stimulant for the scalp.

Does brushing make hair loss worse?

Not at all. Brushing helps remove hair that has already died, and any dust and dirt. However, it does not aggravate hair loss; on the contrary, it is beneficial for the scalp because it aerates and volumizes the hair.

I often wear a cap or hat. Can that make my hair fall out?

No, wearing a cap or a hat does not encourage hair loss. However, if it is very tight or you wear it very often and it rubs the same parts of your head, it can cause the hair to thin or break.

PRODUCT FAQ (USES, CONTRAINDICATIONS, RESULTS...)

Should I use both VITALFAN and TRIPHASIC together, or is just one of them enough?

For optimal synergistic effects, you should use the two together, both TRIPHASIC Progressive anti-hair loss treatment and VITALFAN for gradual hair loss. This way, you are combining a topical treatment that acts directly on the scalp with an oral supplement to get outstanding results.

However, if you have to choose just one product, use TRIPHASIC Progressive anti-hair loss treatment, which, when used alone, is extremely effective thanks to its topical formulation that targets the scalp directly.
After a full 3-month course of treatment: + 7,490 hairs including 3,000 in the hair loss area*

*Average increase in the number of hairs on the entire scalp and in the hair loss area (40% of the scalp surface area on average). Clinical study conducted in 31 men, results after 3 months of use.

I am currently taking prescription drugs, is there a contraindication?

If you are taking medication, you should always speak to your doctor before starting any hair loss treatment in order to ensure there are no contraindications.

When will I start to see the results?

With gradual hair loss, which gets worse over time, the treatment should be repeated twice a year: alternate 3 months of treatment with 3 months of rest.
However, the results will be visible from the end of the first course of treatment. After using TRIPHASIC anti-hair loss treatment for 12 weeks:
92% said their hair was stronger and healthier
81% perceived an increase in the thickness of their hair
83% said the lotion stimulates hair growth.
Total number of additional hairs after a full 3-month course of treatment: +4,583 hairs in the anagen phase**
*3-months usage test in 90 subjetcts with gradual hair loss
**Average number of hairs in the hair loss area (40% of the scalp surface on averageincrease in the number of hairs on the entire scalp and in the hair loss area (40% of the scalp surface area on average).

If I stop treatment, will my hair start falling out again?

Gradual hair loss is a chronic condition and gets worse over time. You should therefore treat your hair twice a year: alternate 3 months of treatment with 3 months of rest.
